Emotional Support
There are many resources available for students, faculty and staff to help with any emotional support needed.
Counseling & Psychological Services (C&PS) is a confidential resource at SDSU that provides support for survivors at any stage of their healing, from addressing immediate concerns to continuing to nurture one's emotional well-being.
- C&PS provides the following services for survivors of sexual violence:
Help exploring options for support - Crisis intervention
- Group counseling, including RISE, a weekly support group for survivors of sexual assault and relationship violence based in trauma-focused therapy approaches
- Short-term individual and couples therapy
- Assistance in connecting students to long-term therapy resources

RISE: Rise is a weekly supportive space for survivors of sexual assault and relationship violence, facilitated by Counseling & Psychological Services and in collaboration with the Women's Resource Center. This confidential group is open to students of all genders who are currently enrolled at SDSU. Students are welcome to drop-in as desired and are encouraged to attend as many sessions as possible.

Center for Community Solutions (CCS) Counseling Department offers individual, couple’s, family and group therapy to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking. The counseling team works with individuals of all ages, genders and sexual orientations. CCS therapists are trained in trauma-informed techniques focusing on short-term interventions to address the effects of these traumatic events.

The Sexual Violence Prevention Educator is a confidential resource and any details relating to your report of sexual violence will not be reported to the university without your consent.
