Protective Measures
In situations where it is necessary, the University will take immediate steps to protect victims/survivors pending the final outcome of an investigation.
These steps may include:
- No Contact Directive
- Issuing No Contact Directives to all parties involved. This would cease any communication (verbal and written) to all parties involved. Any student who feels unsafe may request a No Contact Order by reaching out to a Title IX Coordinator or Deputy Coordinator. To contact the appropriate person, please refer to our Contact Us page.
- Interim Suspension/Emergency Removal
- Pending resolution of the complaint, the accused may be prohibited from contacting the victim and may be placed on suspension and be removed from, and denied access to, campus.
- Class Schedule Changes
- The University may also change the course schedule for the victim/survivor (by request), and the accused (when disciplinary procedures related to acts of sexual misconduct warrant such changes).
